Transferring an installment unit in Egypt, step by step

8 Oct 2026

A transfer means the buyer takes the seller’s place in the same contract with the developer: the same price, the same payment plan and the same delivery date. The seller gets back what they paid, and the buyer pays the rest.

1. The seller gets their numbers ready

Before anything else, the seller needs to know exactly:

  • How much they have paid so far (down payment + installments), backed by receipts.
  • How much remains to the developer, over how many installments, and when the next one is due.
  • The developer’s transfer fee, and any condition such as a minimum share paid before a transfer.

2. The buyer checks the numbers

The buyer asks to see the contract and receipts, and before paying anything requests a balance statement from the developer itself: an official document showing what has been paid, what remains and any arrears.

3. Agreeing on the amount

On tanazzol.com the rule is simple: the cash the buyer pays the seller = exactly what the seller paid. No premium. The agreement also sets who pays the transfer fee: the buyer, the seller, or both equally.

4. Signing at the developer

Both parties go to the developer (or send someone with an official power of attorney), the transfer fee is paid, and the contract moves into the buyer’s name. The seller’s money is transferred at signing, not before.

5. After the transfer

The buyer continues paying the developer on schedule. Any delivery payment or maintenance deposit stays exactly as it is in the contract.

Tip: treat any figure that isn’t on the developer’s balance statement as unconfirmed until it is.
