How to sell your installment apartment and get back everything you paid
21 Oct 2026
If you bought a unit on installments and can no longer continue the payments, or you need your money, you have two ways: cancel the contract with the developer, or transfer the unit to another buyer.
Cancel or transfer?
When you cancel, the developer returns what you paid after a deduction the contract sets, and may return it in parts. In a transfer, the buyer takes your place in the contract, pays you what you paid, and continues the installments. Work out the difference for your unit in before you cancel.
What to prepare before selling
- The contract with the developer.
- Receipts for the down payment and every installment paid.
- Your national ID.
- Your exact figures: the total paid, what remains, and the next installment’s date and amount.
