The documents you need for a developer transfer
14 Oct 2026
Every developer has its own forms, but these documents are requested in most cases. Get them ready early.
From the seller
- The original contract, every page, plus any annexes.
- All payment receipts, or an account statement from the developer.
- A valid national ID card.
- If someone is acting on the seller’s behalf: the official power of attorney and a copy of the representative’s ID.
From the buyer
- A valid national ID card (or a passport for non-Egyptians, depending on the developer’s policy).
- Proof of payment of the transfer fee, if the developer asks for it in advance.
From the developer
- The transfer request on its own form, signed by both parties.
- An official balance statement showing what has been paid, what remains and any arrears.
Tips before signing day
- Make sure the name on the ID matches the contract exactly.
- If there are overdue installments, agree who settles them before signing.
- Ask the developer whether it requires a minimum share paid before approving a transfer.
On tanazzol.com, our team reviews the contract, receipts and ID before a unit is published, and requests the developer’s balance statement before signing.
